DECATUR — The Brookhaven Panther High School tennis team went2-1 in last weekend’s East Mississippi Invitational Tournament heldby by Newton County.

Brookhaven defeated Newton County 5-2, winning the boys andgirls singles, the No. 1 and 2 boys doubles and the No. 2 girlsdoubles matches.

In the second series, Brookhaven shutout Pass Christian 7-0,winning all the matches.

The final series saw Northwest Rankin sweep Brookhaven 6-0.
