Brookhaven Academy swept a Division 4AA baseball doubleheaderfrom Prentiss Christian Saturday afternoon, in Brookhaven. Game 1saw the homestanding Cougars knock off the Saints 8-5 in 8 innings.The nightcap saw BA shut out Prentiss Christian 13-0 in 4 innings,evoking the 12-after-4 rule.
Brookhaven travels to Trinity Episcopal Tuesday.

Collecting base hits for the Cougars were Will Gatlin (3), TylerParvin, Caleb Williams and Jonathan White (2). Seth Cliburndoubled. Kolby Byrd homered.
Parvin authored the win for BA with 2 walks and 6 strikeouts.Tripp Jolly made a relief appearance.
For Prentiss Christian, Conner Barnes singled and doubled.Charlie Mullins and Lyle Benard each had a single.
Miles Hill suffered for the Saints, walking 2 and fanning 5Cougar batters. Patrick Barnes came on in the eighth for Hill.

After a scoreless first, the Cougars scored 4 runs each in thesecond and fourth innings and 5 in the third.
Byrd hit his second homer of the day to lead the Cougar attack.Corey Dickerson singled and doubled. Cliburn and White had a doubleapiece. Gatlin singled.
Jameson Wright of Brookhaven got the win with 2 walks and 4strikeouts. Nathan Thurman made a relief appearance.
Patrick Barnes took the loss for the Saints. Conner Barnessingled.
