Tommie James

Services for Tommie James, of Brookhaven, will be held at 11a.m. on Friday, April 11, at Brookhaven Funeral Home on NorthJackson Street with burial in Easthaven Cemetery in Brookhaven.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. James, 68, died April 8, 2008, at St. Dominic – JacksonMemorial Hospital in Jackson. He was born in Lawrence County onJan. 11, 1940, to Brooks James and Stella Foster James.

He was a retired supervisor for Keystone Seneca after 44 yearsof service. He was a member of the Baptist faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his son, Darrell James;his sister, Brooksene Davis; and his father- and mother-in-law,Melton and Ernestine Johnson.

Survivors are his wife, Joyce Johnson James, of Brookhaven; hisdaughters, Darlene Patterson and husband Mike, and Dana Wilkinsonand husband Jackie Jr., all of Brookhaven; his brother, GayraJames, of Brookhaven; his sisters, Joyce Pennington, of Brookhaven,and Ann Russell, of Monticello; his grandchildren, Chad Sanford,Chasity Sanford, April Rippy, Kayla Wilkinson and Kolby Wilkinson;and his great-grandchildren, Taylor Sanford, Maggie Sanford, JacobSanford and Abby Rippy.
