Services for Katie Sue Brent Herring, of Brookhaven, will beheld at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, at Brookhaven Funeral Home onNorth Jackson Street with burial in Harmony Baptist ChurchCemetery.

Visitation was held on Wednesday evening.

Mrs. Herring, 73, died April 15, 2008, at her residence. She wasborn in Brookhaven on Nov. 16, 1934, to A. Dewey Brent Sr. andMaude Pennington Brent.

She worked in cafeteria service and was a school bus driver withBrookhaven Public Schools. She was a member of Harmony BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, LeRoyHerring Sr.; and her son, LeRoy “Lee” Herring Jr.

Survivors are her son, Richard Herring and wife Brenda, ofBrookhaven; her daughter, Tawana H. Boyd, of Brookhaven; herbrother, Gerald Brent and wife Lydia, of Silver Creek; hergrandchildren, Stephanie Case and husband Danny, Jeremy Herring andwife Ashley, Kevin Herring, Dana Bowman, Tamara Keene and husbandJerry, John Boyd and Brent Boyd; her 10 great-grandchildren; and ahost of nieces and nephews.
