Services for Lawrence Adams, of Brookhaven, will be held at 2p.m. on Thursday, April 17, at Jericho Church of Christ in LoydStar with burial in the church cemetery. Williams Mortuary is incharge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday from 10 a.m. until noon at the funeralhome, and from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at thechurch.

Mr. Adams, 58, died April 13, 2008, at Select Specialty Hospitalin Jackson. He was born in Brookhaven on June 7, 1949, to OscarAdams and Rosetta Adams.

He was disabled and a member of Jericho Church of Christ.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his stepmother, EvelynAdams; his daughter, Rachael Adams; his brothers, Harvey and OscarAdams; and his sister, Janice Adams.

Survivors are his wife, Rose Mary Adams, of Gulfport; hisdaughters, Denise Adams and husband Lonnie, and Latoya Freeman andhusband Kennedy, all of Brookhaven, Natasha Adams and husband S.Tate, of McComb, Jennifer Powell and husband Stanford, of PanamaCity, Fla., and Katherine Stewart and husband Jerome, ofHazlehurst; his stepsons, Tracey Smith, Rodney Smith, David Smithand David Delaughter; his stepdaughters, Angela Smith, Tomeka Smithand Veronica Adams and husband Tyrone; his brothers, GrandberryAdams, Shirley Adams, John C. Adams, all of Brookhaven, and JessieB. Adams, of Lansing, Mich.; his 15 grandchildren; and his specialfriends, Marilyn Delaughter, of Brookhaven, and Deborah Adams, ofPanama City.
