Services for Andrew Monroe Dixon Jr., of Chicago, Ill., formerlyof Franklin County, will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, atRoxie First Baptist Church, Florida Street in Roxie, with burial inBethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery on Log Cabin Road in the Hamburgcommunity in Franklin County. Marshall Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Monday from noon until 5 p.m. at Marshall FuneralHome Chapel in Bude, and on Tuesday at the church from noon untilthe time of the service.

Mr. Dixon, 56, died April 22, 2008, at Advocate Christ Hospitalin Chicago. He was born in Natchez on July 3, 1951, to Mazie Dyerand Andrew Monroe Dixon Sr.

Preceding him in death were his father; his brother, Steven A.Dixon; and his niece, Angie M. Riggins.

Survivors are his mother, Mazie Dyer, of Roxie; his daughter,LaTonja Best, of Chicago; his son, Andrew Monroe Dixon III, ofChicago; his sisters, Mary Webb, Marion Dixon, Alretha Mason, MariaDyer Riggins, Myrtis Craig, Rita Washington and Andrea Dixon; hisbrothers, Marshall Dixon, Otis Dyer Sr. Jeffrey Dyer Sr., GregoryDixon and Derrice Dixon; and a host of nieces, nephews, otherrelatives and friends.
