Ida Lexie Falvey Hales

Services for Ida Lexie Falvey Hales, of Utica, will be held at10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, at Brookhaven Funeral Home on NatchezDrive with burial in Beauregard Cemetery.

Visitation was held on Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hales, 84, went to be with the Lord on Mother’s Day and herwedding anniversary date of May 10, 2008, at her residence. She wasborn in Lincoln County on Dec. 13, 1923, to Dan Falvey and LillianFalvey.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Beauregard MethodistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, PaulE. Hales.

Survivors are her sons, Ken Hales, of Utica, Glenn Hales, ofJackson, Rodger Hales, of Utica, Phillip Hales, of Tupelo, LesterHales, of Gadsden, Ala., and Mark Hales, of Utica; her 12grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Ramona S. Smith

Services for Ramona S. Smith, of Smithdale, were held at 11 a.m.on Tuesday, May 13, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Bogue Chitto.

Mrs. Smith, 43, died May 11, 2008, at her residence. She wasborn on June 21, 1964, to Oscar B. Smith and Dot Lofton Smith.

She was a licensed practical nurse, a dog breeder and ahomemaker. She was a caregiver and an avid animal lover for manyyears. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Her father preceded her in death.

Survivors are her mother; her husband, Anthony Carroll Smith;her son, Anthony Drew Smith and fiancee Rachel Brown; her brother,Brett D. Smith, of Van Cleave; her sisters, Pam Brent and husbandKelby, of Summit, and Jennifer Davis and husband Randy, of BogueChitto, and Loretta Smith of Dothan, Ala.; her brothers-in-law,Keith Smith and wife Shirley, and Brian Smith and wife Amy; hersister-in-law, Tammy Dixon and husband Roy; a very special friend,Jessie Carwyle; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces andgreat-nephews and many very special animals.

Oscar Marvin Weeks

Services for Oscar Marvin Weeks, of Wesson, will be held at 4p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, at Beauregard United Methodist Church withburial in Beauregard Cemetery. Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home of Jacksonis in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday from 2 p.m. until the time of the serviceat the church.

Mr. Weeks, 78, died May 11, 2008, at Hospice Ministries inRidgeland.

A native and lifelong resident of Copiah County, he served hiscountry by enlisting in the United States Navy. He was a retiredquality control manager with Potter Industries in Wesson, and was amember of Beauregard United Methodist Church and the Wesson MasonicLodge.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Lewis Jackson Weeks andMary Alice Weeks; his brothers, Lewis Jackson Weeks Jr. and HowardWeeks.

Survivors are his wife, Nancy Weeks, of Wesson; his brother,John Weeks and wife Karen, of Wynndale; his sisters, Agnes Ratliffand husband Larry, of Wesson, and Elma Purser and husband Woodrow,of Crystal Springs; his brother-in-law, Woody Berry; sister-in-law,and Sarah Weeks, of Hazlehurst.

David Adam Zehnder

A memorial service for David Adam Zehnder, of Payson, Ariz.,will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 18, at Zion Hill BaptistChurch in Wesson.

Mr. Zehnder was born on April 27, 1967 in North Miami, Fla. Helived in Miramar, Fla., and attended Miramar High School. Afterearning his GED, he worked as an elevator mechanic in the southFlorida area before moving to Payson.

Preceding him in death were his maternal grandfather, FredHoedl; and his paternal grandparents, Lillian and Bob Zehnder.

Survivors are his maternal grandmother, June Hoedl, of Payson;his mother, Ricki Zehnder, of Payson; his father and stepmother,Gregg and Betty Zehnder, of Wesson; his uncle, Fred Hoedl, of LosAngeles, Calif.; his brother, Darryl Zehnder, of Payson; hisstepbrothers, John Sharp, of Tampa, Fla., and Jeff Sharp, ofHazlehurst; and his nieces and nephews, Kayla Zehnder, GreggoryZehnder, Bryce Sharp, Bradly Sharp and Rachael Sharp.
