Services for Armergene Leggett Smith, of Bogue Chitto, will beheld at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, at Pine Grove MissionaryBaptist Church in Sontag with burial in the church cemetery.Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 1 until 7 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Smith, 54, died May 17, 2008, at her residence. She wasborn in Lincoln County on April 13, 1954, to the Rev. James P.Leggett and Estee Martin Leggett.

She was employed with Copiah-Lincoln Community College in thecafeteria for more than 17 years. She attended Eva Harris Schooland Enterprise School. She was a member of Mary’s Temple Church ofGod in Christ.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her sister, DorothyPorter; her nephews, Rodger Allen and Jeremiah Leggett; and herniece, Donekia Shephard.

Survivors are her husband, Danny Smith, of Bogue Chitto; hersons, Alfred Leggett, of Iowa, David E. Leggett and Danny Smith Jr.and wife Keisha, all of Brookhaven; her daughter, Lisa M. Leggett,of Brookhaven; her stepdaughter, Linda Quarles, of Biloxi; her fivegrandchildren and three stepgrandchildren; her sisters, Cola McGeeand husband the Rev. Walter McGee, Myrtis Brown and husbandCharles, Mary Allen and husband Malcolm, all of Sontag, BettyStingley, of Canton, Hellen Shephard, Fannie Black, ClementineBlack and husband Hollis, and Nicole Martin, all of Brookhaven; herbrothers, James Leggett and wife, Marian, of Meadville, JessieLeggett and wife Deborah, and Samuel Leggett and wife Debbie, allof Brookhaven, Kenneth Leggett and wife Mary, Calvin Leggett andwife Lula, all of Sontag, and Crecesandra May and husband Anthony,of Bogue Chitto; her brothers-in-law, Henry Smith and wife Carolyn,of Houston, Texas, and Samuel May and wife Antoinette, of Omaha,Neb.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives andfriends.
