Services for Hilda B. Lowery, of Hattiesburg, are noon Tuesday,June 24, at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive with burial inMt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Lowery, 92, formerly of Lincoln County, died June 22, 2008,at her residence. She was born in Lincoln County on Feb.13, 1916,to Lee Britt and Ophelia Smith Britt.

She was a retired teacher having taught at both New Sight andWesson elementary schools. She was a longtime member of Mt. ZionBaptist Church and was a former pianist and Sunday schoolteacher.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, ThomasFrank Lowery II; her son, Thomas Frank Lowery III; and a sister,Erma Lee Mosley.

Survivors are her sons, Mike Lowery and wife, Annie, ofHattiesburg, and Tim Lowery and wife, Georgianna, of Jackson; herdaughter-in-law, Laverne Lowery, of Hattiesburg; herbrother-in-law, Roy Mosley, of Crystal Springs; eightgrandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
