Services for Doris Schilling Raborn, of McComb, are 1 p.m.Thursday, June 26, at Jones Family Funeral Services with burial inProgress Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. David Millican will officiateservices.

Mrs. Raborn, 88, died June 24, 2008, at Aston Court RetirementCenter. She was born in Pike County on Aug. 16, 1919, to Prentissand Lynda S. Schilling.

Mrs. Raborn was the owner of Dottie-Dayle Beauty Shop onDelaware Avenue in McComb for many years. She loved sharing herspecial sugar cookies with everyone and loved telling about howsmart her great-grandchildren were. After the death of her husbandWincel Raborn, and selling their home, she absolutely enjoyed everyminute living at Aston Court. She especially loved getting to playthe piano there and her frequent wins at bingo. She was a longtimemember of North McComb Baptist Church and a former member of theFernwood Country Club Ladies Golf Association.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; herbrothers, Doy and Bonny Schilling; her sisters, Wilda S. Alford,Lois S. McMillan, Betty S. Riley and Hazel Schilling.

Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, W.E. “Dub” Raborn andMargie, of Smyrna, Tenn.; her daughters and sons-in-law, Doris E.Verucchi and John, of Lafayette, La., and Dayle Felder and Gary, ofSummit; a sister, Wanda S. Henry, of Tylertown; three specialfriends, Elaine Robinson, Pat Paterson and Janice Goldman; ninegrandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Derek Raborn, Chris Felder, Greg Raborn,Darren Felder, Baker Raborn and Mike Taylor.
