Roberta Stamps Hudyma

Services for Roberta Stamps Hudyma, of Jackson, are 3 p.m. Tuesday,July 8, at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel on HighlandColony Parkway in Ridgeland with entombment in Trinity Mausoleum inParkway Memorial Cemetery in Ridgeland.

Visitation is Tuesday from 1 until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hudyma, 90, died July 6, 2008, at her residence. She was bornin Washington, D.C., on June 6, 1918, to Robert Lee Stamps and LolaBert Boren.

At a young age, she moved to Brookhaven where she later graduatedfrom Brookhaven High School and Whitworth College. She retiredafter a long career as a legal secretary with the Mississippi StateTax Commission. She was a very active member of the Fort RosalieChapter of the Daughter’s of the American Revolution and was alsoan active member of the Salvation Army Auxiliary. She was a memberof Northminster Baptist Church.

She had a beautiful and wonderful life and loved to travel with herfriends; she flew on the Concord and rode the Orient Express. Sheloved ballroom dancing. She was truly a sweet Southern lady thatloved everyone and was loved by those she met. She will be missedby all who knew her.

Preceding her in death was her husband, William J. Hudyma.

Survivors are a brother, Robert W. Stamps Sr. and wife, Shirley, ofBrookhaven; a nephew, Robert Warren Stamps Jr. and family, ofBrookhaven; a niece, Sabrina S. Franklin; her great-nieces andgreat-nephew, Rebecca L. Mercier, of Kingwood, Texas, NicoleMcMillan, of Brookhaven, and Rob Mercier, of Kingwood.

Memorials may be made to Northminster Baptist Church, 3955Ridgewood Road, Jackson, MS 39211.

Alexis Lane Kimbrough

Graveside services for Alexis Lane Kimbrough, of Starkville, were 4p.m. Saturday, July 5, at Zion Hill Baptist Church with burial inthe church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home was in charge ofarrangements.

The infant died July 4, 2008, at The University of MississippiMedical Center in Jackson. She was born in Jackson on June 17,2008, to Kevin Kimbrough and Kimberly Patrick Kimbrough.

Survivors are her parents; a brother, Jesse Kimbrough, ofStarkville; a stepbrother, David Lewis, of Columbus; a stepsister,Laurn Wilson, of Columbus; her grandparents, Robert A. Patrick Jr.and Twila Patrick, of Columbus, and Dr. Wayne and Ann Kimbrough, ofGreenwood; her great-grandmothers, Mary Ann Beall, of Greenwood,Sharlotte Burson, of Columbus, and Ruth Wallin, of Wilmington,N.C.; her uncle, Kyle Kimbrough, of Hattiesburg; and her aunt, LisaPatrick, of Columbus.

Ottice Mae Tinsley

Services for Ottice Mae Tinsley, of McCall Creek, are 11 a.m.Tuesday, July 8, at Damascus Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Monday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Tinsley, 86, died July 5, 2008, at Silver Cross Home inBrookhaven. She was born in Franklin County on Oct. 15, 1921, toHenry Huffman and Ada Wilson Huffman.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Damascus BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, RobertTinsley; and a brother.

Survivors are her son, Bobby Tinsley and wife, Sandra, ofCranfield; her daughter, Betty Cothern and husband, James, ofBrookhaven; a sister, Willena Wroten, of McCall Creek; her fivegrandchildren, Kim Cotton and husband, Kyle, of Baton Rouge, La.,Barry Tinsley, of McCall Creek, Melissa Wilson and husband, Jeff,of Brookhaven, Dana Rushing and husband, Brad, of Brookhaven, andLarry Tinsley, of Canton; and her 10 great-grandchildren.
