William Bryant Statham

Services for William Bryant Statham, of New Orleans, are 3:30 p.m.Friday, July 11, at Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home Chapel in McCombwith burial in Hollywood Cemetery. The Rev. Mike Morris and Dr.David Millican will officiate.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. and Friday from 1 until3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Statham, 51, died July 8, 2008, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. He was born at McComb InfirmaryHospital on Aug. 10, 1956, to R.Y. “Buck” Statham and Bobbie JeanSartin Statham of Summit.

He attended South Pike schools and was a member of the firstgraduating class at Parklane Academy. He was a graduate ofSouthwest Mississippi Community College and the University ofSouthern Mississippi. Mr. Statham was a special education teacher,who loved and cared for his students. He taught at ParklaneAcademy, St. Tammany Parish schools, Louisiana State Hospital, atDallas schools and at the Orleans Parish schools.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Alton and MattieStatham and Shelby Sartin and Bernice Denman Sartin; and a niece,Kaitlin Claire Matthew.

Survivors are his parents; a brother and sister-in-law, Robbie andJane Statham, of Brookhaven; a sister and brother-in-law, Lisa andKevin Matthew, of Summit; his three nieces, Heather and ShelbyStatham, of Brookhaven, and Morgan Matthew, of Summit; and numerousfriends and other relatives.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to St.Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN38105 or the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 16808, Jackson,MS 39236.

Bobbye J. White

Services for Bobbye J. White, of Brookhaven, are 10 a.m. Friday,July 11, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel on Natchez Drive withburial in Riverwood Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. White, 75, died July 7, 2008, at her residence. She was bornin Brookhaven on Oct. 1, 1932, to Willard Fauver and Myrtis VaughanFauver.

She was a retired nurse’s aide from the Lincoln County HealthDepartment. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, William M.”Buddy” White; her brothers, Clifton, Billy Ray and CabyeFauver.

Survivors are her daughters, Pam White Herrington and husband,Keith, of Brookhaven, and Marcy White McDuffie and husband, Donnie,of Semmes, Ala.; her brothers, John Fauver and wife, Vanissa, ofMobile, Ala., and Jimmy Fauver and wife, Sharon, of Niceville,Fla.; a sister, Jean Gross, of Natchez; her three grandchildren,Alton Lee Hart, Kelli Herrington and Karli Herrington, all ofBrookhaven; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Fauver, Alton Hart, Kevin Herrington,Donnie McDuffie, Toby Fauver and John Gross.
