A Lincoln County man was arrested late last week and chargedwith secretly filming a juvenile subject, sheriff’s departmentofficials said.

Lincoln County Sheriff Steve Rushing said Charles E. Knight, 48,of 629 Lola Dunn Road, was arrested July 11 around 9 p.m. oncharges of secretly photographing and filming without permission.The sheriff said the crime was brought to the attention ofauthorities by the victim’s family within the past week.

Rushing said since the probe is ongoing, little information canbe released pending further investigation. He said certaininformation is also being withheld pending the conclusion of theinvestigation due to the fact that the victim is a juvenile.

“We can’t give a whole lot of details right now because we’redealing with a juvenile,” Rushing said. “It’s about protecting thevictim’s rights, but also protecting the victim’s interests sincewe’re talking about a juvenile victim.”

Rushing said more information could be released as the caseunfolds, but he is not at liberty to divulge exactly how or wherethe filming or photographing actually occurred.

“At this point it’s still under investigation,” he said.
