George William Fitt

Services for George William Fitt, of Ferriday, La., are 1 p.m.Thursday, July 17, at Marshall Funeral Home Chapel in Bude withburial in Natchez City Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Fitt, 81, died July 12, 2008, at Riverland Medical Center inFerriday. He was born in Mississippi on April 7, 1927, to WilliamJ. Fitt and Gertrude D. Smith Fitt.

He was a retired oil field worker and a commercialfisherman.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Ruth Fitt;and three brothers.

Survivors are a stepdaughter, Shirley Sandy; his threegrandchildren, Crystal Dossett, Michael Dossett and Jeremiah Sandy;his two great-grandchildren, Conner Sandy and Nathan Sandy; a nieceand nephew; his special friend, Natasha Grantham; and a host ofother relatives and friends.

James Earl Hall

Services for James Earl Hall, of Bogue Chitto, are 11 a.m.Friday, July 18, at New Zion Union Missionary Baptist Church inBogue Chitto with burial in Bogue Chitto/Norfield Cemetery.Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday from 1 until 7 p.m. at the funeral homewith family present from 6 until 7 p.m.

Mr. Hall, 62, died July 13, 2008, at his residence. He was bornin Lincoln County on March 20, 1946, to Lester Hall Sr. and RubyWashington Hall.

He was a member of New Zion Union Missionary Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his brothers, LesterHall Jr. and Robert Lee Hall.

Survivors are his brothers, Johnny Hall Sr. and wife, Mary, ofBogue Chitto, Walter Hall Sr., of Hattiesburg, and Reginald Hall,of New Orleans; his sisters, Gail Dolliole, of New Orleans, DonnaBethley and husband, David, of Henderson, Nev., Thelma Hall, ofSacramento, Calif., and Dorothy Barlin and husband, Rufus, of SaltLake City, Utah; and by numerous nieces, nephews, other relativesand friends.
