Delos Dee ‘D.D.’ Kennedy

Services for Delos Dee “D.D.” Kennedy, of Brookhaven, are 3 p.m.Sunday, Aug. 3, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel.

Visitation is Sunday from 1 until 3 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Kennedy, 80, died July 31, 2008, at St. Dominic-JacksonMemorial Hospital. He was born on May 28, 1928, to David DelosKennedy and Eula Belle Goff Kennedy.

He retired from Packard. He was a member of First BaptistChurch.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Betty Joe Boyte Kennedy; a son, DavidKennedy and wife, Cindy, of Brookhaven; a daughter, Diane Vesa andhusband, Nick, of Madison; a sister, Jean Raines, of Fairhope,Ala.; and his three grandchildren, Chris Kennedy and wife, Alice,of Brookhaven, Angel Vance and husband, Kevin, of Madison, andMicky Vesa and wife, Telci, of Madison.

Kinsey Grace Thompson

Kinsey Grace Thompson, infant daughter of Taylor and Kristi CrumThompson, went to be with her Heavenly Father on July 28, 2008, atthe University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Medical Center inLittle Rock, Ark.

Our precious Kinsey, weighing 7 pounds, 3 ounces, with blue eyesand her mother’s red hair, came into our hearts forever on July 28,2008. She will be deeply missed and always loved – a precious life,too brief, one of heaven’s little stars, our sweet angel. We loveyou, Kinsey.

In addition to her loving parents, she is survived by hergrandparents, Thomas A. and Marilyn Crum and David and LindaThompson; her uncles and aunt, Jack Crum and Zach and TrishaThompson; her great-grandparents, Peggy and Denver Smith, TravisJordan Sr. and Minnie Thompson; and numerous other family membersand friends.

Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 1, 2008, from 5 until 8 p.m.,and services will be Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008, at 10 a.m. atRiverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel, with interment at JohnsonGrove Church of Christ.

Bobbie Jean Weathersby

Services for Bobbie Jean Weathersby, of Liberty, are 2 p.m.Sunday, Aug. 3, at Rose Hill M.B. Church in Meadville with burialin Good Hope Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Liberty. WilliamsMortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 1 until 2 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Weathersby, 67, died July 30, 2008, at SouthwestMississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb. She was born inFranklin County on Oct. 24, 1940, to Robert Cain Sr. and BernetiaWilliams Cain.

She was a 1959 graduate of Lillie Mae Bryant High School and agraduate of Alcorn State University with further study at theUniversity of Southern Mississippi. She retired after 27 years ofservice at Liberty Elementary School. Mrs. Weathersby also workedfor several years in New Orleans public schools. She was a memberof Rose Hill M.B. Church since her early childhood and then becamea recent member of Good Hope Freewill Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a sister, Ida Hudsonand a brother, Robert Cain Jr.

Survivors are her husband, Tommie Weathersby, of Liberty; a son,Felton Weathersby, of Liberty; a daughter, Kay Frances Markham, ofLiberty; a brother, Sammy Cain, of McComb; her sisters, Inez Cain,Marva Thompson, Alberta Knox and husband, George, and Amanda Cain,all of McComb; and a grandchild, Felton Weathersby Jr., ofLiberty.
