Billy Frank Burns

Billy Frank Burns, of Wesson, died Aug. 7, 2008, at St.Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital in Jackson. He was 63.

Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. at Rocky Hill BaptistChurch in Wesson on Sunday, Aug. 10, with burial in the churchcemetery. Community Funeral Services is in charge of thearrangements.

Billy Frank was born Dec. 24, 1944, in Copiah County to MarvinBurns and Bessie Burns Hyatt. He was a member of Rocky Hill BaptistChurch and was retired from Kuhlman Electric where he worked in theshipping department. He is preceded in death by his parents; hisbrother, Wardell Burns; and his sisters-in-law, Belinda Burns,Lynda Burns and Jean Hall.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Ann; hisdaughters, Lisa Case and her husband, Stan, of Wesson, and JennyBurns, of Starkville; his son, Jamie Burns, of Wesson; his fivegrandchildren, Kayla and Dustin Case and Orion, Blake and MatthewBurns; his siblings, Glenda Horner, Carolyn Goza, Melvin Burns andCarl Wayne Burns; and many nieces and nephews.

Billy Frank was an extraordinary man who loved God, his family,his neighbors and his friends. He was a man of few words but hisactions often spoke louder than could be articulated by speech. Henever failed to reach out to help those around him when he sawsomeone in need. He will be remembered as a loving and devotedhusband to his wife, a superhero to his children, a friend to many,but above all, a Christian who loved the Lord and served him dailyin sickness and in health.

Daddy, today we say goodbye to you, but only for a little while.Because of our shared love of God and faith in Jesus Christ, I knowwe will see you again. Until that happy day comes, we will loveyou, think of you, and miss you with our whole hearts. It has beena privilege to be your daughter, Pop. Rest in peace until we meetagain. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
