Vernon Cade

Services for Vernon Cade, of Wesson, were 10 a.m. Monday, Sept.1, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel on Natchez Drive with burialin New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven.

Mr. Cade, 87, died Aug. 30, 2008, at Pine Meadow AlzheimerSpecial Care Center in Hattiesburg. He was born in Brookhaven onNov. 17, 1920, to Eugene Cade and Dora Kimble Cade.

He was a graduate of Loyd Star High School. Mr. Cade worked atStahl Urban Co. and Teche Drilling Co. He was a timber farmer andco-owned a logging company with his son. Mr. Cade served in theU.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of New HopeMethodist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his brother, MorrisCade.

Survivors are his wife of 67 years, Aronell Snyder Cade, ofBrookhaven; his son, Lanny Ray Cade and wife, Gerldean Cade, ofBrookhaven; his daughter, Katrina Cade Turk and husband, M. K.Turk, of Hattiesburg; his four grandchildren, Shannon Smith andhusband, Kurt, Juston Cade and wife, Lora, Michelle Hession andhusband, Tony, and Malisha Siders and husband, Drew; his fourgreat-grandchildren, Jered and Malori Cade, Anthony Turk Hessionand Addison Claire Siders.

Memorials may be made to the New Hope Methodist Church CemeteryFund.
