Theria Dee Hutto Buckels

Services for Theria Dee Hutto Buckels, of Meadville, are 11 a.m.Wednesday, Sept. 17, at Bude Church of God with burial in HopewellBaptist Church Cemetery in Bude.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at Franklin FuneralHome and Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church.

Mrs. Buckels, 91, died Sept. 14, 2008, at her residence inMeadville Convalescent Home. She was born in Franklin County onNov. 27, 1916, to Thomas H. Hutto and Julia Clark Hutto.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Bude Church of God,where the Rev. Boyd Beech and the Rev. Neil Ramage serve aspastors.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, CharlesBuckels; an infant daughter; her four brothers; and her twosisters.

Survivors are a son, Gary Buckels and wife, Patsy, of Meadville;her daughters, Christine Dunn and husband, Roger, of Durham, N.C.,Brenda Cotten and husband, Larry and Judy Holland and husband,Bobby, all of Meadville; her seven grandchildren; and her 11great-grandchildren.

Caeden Randall Carr

Services for Caeden Randall Carr, of Sontag, were 11 a.m.Tuesday, Sept. 16, at Shiloh Baptist Church in Sontag with burialin the church cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home was in charge ofarrangements.

The infant, 3 months old, died Sept. 12, 2008, at his residence.He was born in Hattiesburg on June 1, 2008, to Joe Carr Jr. andShannan Tomasson Carr.

Survivors are his parents; and his brothers, Daniel and Matthew;his grandparents, Randy and Susan Carr, of Sontag, and LamarTomasson, of Riverfalls, Ala.; his great-grandparents, Joey andMarthia Carr, of Sontag, James and Sue Bannister, of Jayess, andRuth Morgan, of Waynesboro; his godparents, David and NoelleBloodsworth, of Sontag; his aunts and uncles, Heather Griffin,Steve and Brandi Carr, Susan and Jody Neal, and Eian Tomasson; hiscousins, Haley Griffin, Stevie, Curtiss, Jessica, Taylor, Kristaand Conner Carr, Kayla, Joseph and Justin Neal; and many morefamily and friends.

He will be missed and loved always.

Alice McGehee Dickerson

Services for Alice McGehee Dickerson, of McCall Creek, were 11a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel inMeadville with burial in Midway Cemetery in Meadville.

Mrs. Dickerson, 89, died Sept. 14, 2008, at her residence. Shewas born in Franklin County on Aug. 31, 1919, to H. Cass McGeheeand Ada Laird McGehee.

She retired from the Franklin County School System after 35years of service. She was a member of Bude Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, GuyDickerson; her five sisters; and her five brothers.

Survivors are a son, Larry Dickerson and wife, Patti, of McCallCreek; a sister, Ellisteen Davis, of McCall Creek, a grandchild,Jeremy Greer, of Phoneix, Ariz.; and a host of nieces andnephews.

The Rev. Alice Jeter

Services for the Rev. Alice Jeter, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Thursday, Sept. 18, at Cornerstone Church of God in Christ inBrookhaven with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from 12 until 6 p.m. at R.E. TylerFuneral Home in Brookhaven.

The Rev. Jeter, 83, died Sept. 12, 2008, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center in Brookhaven. She was born in Brookhaven on May 2,1925, to Tom Smith and Ora Rancifer Stovall.

She was former pastor of Free Gospel Outreach Ministry inBrookhaven. She was also a member of Free Gospel Outreach Ministryin Brookhaven.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are a sister, Gladys V. Lee, of Bassfield.

Michael H. Melton

Services for Michael H. Melton, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Tuesday, Sept. 16, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel in Brookhavenwith burial in Mt. Zion Church of Christ Cemetery in LincolnCounty.

Mr. Melton, 46, died Sept. 14, 2008, at his residence. He wasborn in Brookhaven on Aug. 31, 1962, to Mike “Heavey” Owen Meltonand Frances Hanna Melton.

He was a tanker man on tow boats, a welder’s helper, a painterand sandblaster and did general construction. He was a wonderfullycaring father and husband, who enjoyed spending time with familyand friends. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and his dogs. He wasa member of Mt. Zion Church of Christ.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a niece, Sandy Melton;and a close nephew, Butch Melton.

Survivors are his wife, Tjwana Montgomery Melton; his sons,Anthony Melton and wife, Sissy, and Michi Melton; his daughters,Naomi Britt and husband, Jimmy, and Megan Caples and husband,Chris; his brothers, Reggie Melton, Fred Melton and wife, Frances,Bud Melton and wife, Joyce, and David Melton and wife, Mavis; asister, Linda King and husband, Johnny; his father-in-law andmother-in-law, Robert and Dorothy Montogomery; his twograndchildren, Michala Britt and Zade Melton; his nieces, TeresaReeves and Melissa Wilson; his nephews, Kelly Melton and KevinMelton; his great-nieces, Hannah Britt and Allison Britt; and agreat-nephew, Brendon Melton.

Pallbearers are Michi Melton, Mason Wilson, Clinton Smith,Kennis Montgomery, Chance Butler and Jack Joffrion.

The family would like to thank Dr. Yarborough, Dr. Que, HospiceMinistries and staff, for all of the care they gave Mike this pastyear. He once said that he was fortunate to have known the love andcare of family and friends, while he was still here. The familywould also like to thank Harrigill Funeral Home and Mt. Zion, whoshowed him lots of care and friendship prior to his death.
