Services for Lavada Kyzar Boyte, of Brookhaven, were 11 a.m.,Tuesday, Sept. 30, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Easthaven Cemetery.

Visitation was Monday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Boyte, 87, died Sept. 28, 2008, at her residence. She wasborn to Albert Wesley Kyzar and Carrie Elizabeth TownsendKyzar.

Se was a retired bus driver and cafeteria worker. She was amember of Union Baptist Church and the East Lincoln HomeDemonstration Club.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Wessie D.Boyte Sr.; a daughter, Tommie Elizabeth Allen; a sister, WinnieBell Hall; her brothers, Albert Wesley Kyzar Jr. and Bill Kyzar;and a son-in-law, Mike Page.

Survivors include her sons, Wessie Dee Boyte Jr. and wife,Regina, of Brookhaven, Edwin Dale Boyte and wife, Martha, of BogueChitto, James William Boyte and wife, Amy, of Bogue Chitto, andRicky Dwayne Boyte and wife, Sheree, of Needham, Ala.; ason-in-law, Wayne Allen, of Jena, La.; her daughters, KathleenBogard, of Pascagoula, Bontia Nell “Pete” Boyte, of Brookhaven,Theresa Ann Dodd, of Malvern, Ark., Linda Fay Davis and husband,Clinton, of Brookhaven; her 22 grandchildren; her 36great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Ministries in Brookhaven.
