Georgie Lynn Burris Albritton
Georgie Lynn Burris Albritton, 84, of Bogue Chitto, died Oct.12, 2008 at McComb Extended Care.
Visitation will be Monday, Oct. 13, from 5 until 8 p.m. at JonesFamily Funeral Services in McComb, with visitation again on Tuesdayfrom 9 a.m. until services at 10 a.m. The Rev. Cletus Moak, theRev. Bob Lynch and the Rev. Clarence Young will officiate. Burialwill be at Arlington Baptist Church Cemetery in Bogue Chitto.
Mrs. Albritton was born Feb. 24, 1924, in Amite County. She wasthe daughter of George Otis and Trudie Wilson Burris.
Mrs. Albritton was a schoolteacher and taught Sunday school atArlington Baptist Church. She was active in the WMU and flowercommittee for many years. She crocheted and gave many baby blanketsfor gifts and she never let anyone’s birthday go by withoutremembering them with a card. She loved and adored hergrandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, JoeAlbritton; her sisters, Melba Burris and Mattie Lee Burris.
Mrs. Albritton is survived by two sons and their wives, JimAlbritton and wife, Debra, of Madison, and Barney Joe Albritton andwife, Paula, of Bogue Chitto; her grandchildren, Alan Albritton,Jason Albritton and wife, Jonna, Jeremy Albritton and wife, Misti,and Jill Albritton; her great-grandchildren, Dawson, Alli Grace,Jax, Crews and Madison; along with all the children in herchurch.
Pallbearers will be Danny Hidalgo, Chris Ledet, Larry Sasser,Jimmy Brumfield, Roger Lofton and Holton Lofton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the MississippiBaptist Children’s Village, P.O. Box 27, Clinton, MS, 39060, orCommunity Hospices of America, 140 North Fifth St., McComb, MS,39648.

Services for the Rev. Roosevelt McGehee Sr., of McComb andformerly of Liberty, are 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, at Parson HillM.B. Church in Liberty with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is Tuesday from 1 until 3 p.m. with family presentfrom 5 until 7 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.
Mr. McGehee, 96, died Oct. 9, 2008, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. He was born in Liberty on May17, 1912, to Joseph McGehee Sr. and Martha Westbrook McGehee.
He was a retired associate pastor of Parson Hill M.B. Church,where he was also a member.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Ollie BellCain McGehee; a son, Roosevelt McGehee Jr.; his two daughters, MaryLouise Huggins and Emma Dean Hall; his five brothers, JamesMcGehee, Squire McGehee, Ruben McGehee, A.B. McGehee and Joseph”Joe” McGehee Jr.; his four sisters, Elnora McGehee, Ruth McGehee,Erma Lee Peacock and Darnes Westbrook.
Survivors are his grandchildren, Natonya Huggins, of Waldorf,Md., Owenico Huggins and Chasko Huggins, both of Cumberland, Va.,and Nawatha Hall, of Gary, Ind.; a son-in-law, Ronald Huggins, ofCumberland; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and manydear friends.
