Beginning today, readers will notice The DAILY LEADER printedition looking different.
Like many other newspapers around the state and country, TheDAILY LEADER has moved to a narrower width.
The shift is designed to be more reader-friendly and will letthe newspaper be more in line with national advertising measurementstandards, while not adversely impacting our valued local and areaadvertisers. Also, the move will allow for some new editorial andadvertising opportunities involving additional color capacity inthe future.
Also as part of the move, the newspaper’s Opinion Page isgetting a new look. The page has been redesigned to betterhighlight the weekday’s main editorial column and on Sunday, thenewspaper’s Viewpoint on local, state and, occasionally, nationaltopics.
Furthermore, with the narrower page width, even more front pageemphasis can be placed on local and area news events that are ofinterest to our readers.
While not a major modification, the new page width provides adifferent look for the paper and one that we think our readers willenjoy now and into the future.
