Services for Earline “Madear” Diggs, of Brookhaven, are 1 p.m.Tuesday, Oct. 28, at Beulah Chapel M.B. Church with burial inHillcrest Cemetery. R.E. Tyler Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Monday from noon until 5 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Diggs, 84, died Oct. 22, 2008, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Lincoln County on Feb. 14, 1924, to JessieMagee and Willie Mae Stovall Magee.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Beulah Chapel M.B.Church, where she served as church secretary for a number ofyears.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her son, E.J. DiggsJr.

Survivors are her husband, Ephraim J. Diggs Sr.; her sons, WaldoDiggs and David Diggs, both of Brookhaven, and Wayne Diggs, ofAtlanta, Ga.; her daughter, Margaret Thadison, of Brookhaven; 10grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
