Services for James W. Doremus Jr., of Anniston, Ala., were 11a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.K.L. Brown Memory Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Doremus, 73, died Oct. 29, 2008, at Stringfellow MemorialHospital in Anniston. He was born in Texas on Feb. 20, 1934, toJames W. Doremus Sr. and Ann McShane Doremus.

He was a 1957 graduate of Mississippi State University. He wasplant manager of Jacobsen Manufacturing, while living inBrookhaven. Mr. Doremus retired from Hager Hinge Co., where heserved as chief engineering manager. He had been a member of SacredHeart of Jesus Catholic Church since moving to Anniston in1983.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Barbara Sisson Doremus, of Anniston; adaughter, Janet D. Wamnes and husband, Bob, of Port St. Lucie,Fla.; his three sons, James W. Doremus III and wife, Janet, ofHouston, Texas, V. Jeffrey Doremus and wife, Terry, of Brookhaven,and Joseph D. Doremus and wife, Sibyl, of Orlando, Fla.; his twosisters, Sue D. Corbin and husband, Bill, of Tyler, Texas, and AnnD. Boneau, of Groves, Texas; a brother, David H. Doremus and wife,Rosemary, of Mayfield, N.J.; his six grandchildren, Christopher andTimothy Doremus, Katie and Kelly Doremus, and Phyllis and JosephDoremus; and a great-granddaughter, Olivia Doremus.
