Services for David Franklin Cupit, of Union Church, are 3 p.m.Friday, Nov. 21, at Union Church Baptist Church in Union Church.Burial will be in Union Church Cemetery in Jefferson County.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. at Brookhaven FuneralHome on Natchez Drive and Friday from 1 until service time at 3p.m. at the church.

Mr. Cupit, 59, died Nov. 18, 2008, at Mississippi BaptistMedical Center in Jackson. He was born in Port Arthur, Texas, onApril 16, 1949, to Herman Cupit Sr. and Arlea Goza Cupit.

He worked with Southwest EPA for 35 years and was also acattleman. He was a Mason. He was a member of Union Baptist Church,where he served as a deacon.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Doylene Tennyson Cupit, of Union Church;his sons, Nathan Cupit and wife, Kim, of Union Church, and BradCupit and wife, Amy, of Brookhaven; his daughters, Shannan Porterand husband, Jeff, of Mobile, Ala.; a brother, Herman Cupit Jr. andwife, Joyce, of Nashville, Tenn.; his father-in-law, Doyle Tennysonand wife, Ruth, of Ackerman; a sister-in-law, Arlena Amos, ofMadison; his seven grandchildren, Logan Porter, Jordan Porter, AbbyPorter, Kyle Cupit, Kassidy Cupit, Emily Delozier and Tyler Cupit;and a host of nephews, nieces and other relatives.
