Services for Joyce Lofton Smith, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Saturday, Nov. 29, at Ramah Baptist Church in Franklin County withburial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service isin charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Saturday from 9 until 11 a.m. at the church.

Mrs. Smith, 77, died Nov. 26, 2008, at Haven Hall HealthcareCenter in Brookhaven. She was born on April 3, 1931, to Luther”Luke” Lofton and Beulah Lofton Lofton.

She was a retired licensed practical nurse. She was a member ofSouthway Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her brothers, EdwardLofton, Troy Lofton, Loyd Lofton, Sherrell Lofton and ArthurLofton; and her sisters, Mable Lofton Stancil and Reba Nell LoftonPevey.

Survivors are her sons, Andrew Smith, of Bogue Chitto, ReggieSmith and wife, Jan, of Brookhaven; a sister, Dot Smith, of BogueChitto; her four grandchildren; Coly Smith and wife, Patricia,Julie Smith, Justin Smith and Clint Smith; her twogreat-grandchildren, MaKayla Smith and Caleb Smith.
