Services for Dulith Lafae Cothern, of Topeka, are 11 a.m.Thursday, Dec. 4, at Providence Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery. Community Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday from 4 until 9 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Cothern, 86, died Dec. 2, 2008, at his residence. He wasborn in Jayess on April 23, 2008, to Loomus and Minnie Cothern.

He was a Topeka High School graduate. Mr. Cothern retired fromU.S. Steel. He served in the U.S. Navy in 1942 through 1945 duringWorld War II. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brothers,Duvall and Talmage Cothern.

Survivors are his wife, Billye Huguley Cothern, of Topeka; hissons, Danny Cothern and Joe Cothern; his daughters, Sheila Cothernand Sandra C. King; a brother, Kellon Cothern; and his ninegrandchildren; and his 12 great-grandchildren.
