Services for Maggie Lea Hamilton, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Saturday, Dec. 6, at Bethel Temple Pentecostal Church in Brookhavenwith burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family FuneralService is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Hamilton, 97, died Dec. 4, 2008, at Silver Cross Home inBrookhaven. She was born on Dec. 28, 1910, to Ernest C. Nordan andMollie Herring Nordan.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Bethel TemplePentecostal Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, the Rev.Johnnie J. Hamilton Sr.; a son, Hubert Hamilton; and a son-in-law,Curtis Smith.

Survivors are her sons, J.J. Hamilton Jr. and wife, Winifred, ofBrookhaven; Jerry Hamilton and wife, Judy, of Meadville; adaughter, Janet Smith, of Natchez; a daughter-in-law, NellHamilton; a brother, Lester Nordan; her seven grandchildren, MikeHamilton and wife, Connie, Dewana McCain and husband, Dwight,Regina Redd and husband, Donald, Dwayne Hamilton and wife, Regina,Lavonne Hamilton and wife, Donna, Reggie Smith and wife, Denise,and Shauna Barrier and husband, Marc; her 10 great-grandchildren;and her four great-great-grandchildren.
