Services for Lou Ella Eley Madison, of Jayess, are 2 p.m.Friday, Dec. 12, at Oak Grove M.B. Church in Monticello with burialin the church cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from noon until 7 p.m. with family presentfrom 6 until 7 p.m. at R.E. Tyler Funeral Home.

Mrs. Madison, 61, died Dec. 6, 2008, at Lawrence County Hospital inMonticello. She was born in Lawrence County on Oct. 11, 1947, toL.V. May and Evelean Eley.

She was a graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College. Mrs.Madison was a former cook at the “C” Store and the BP gas stationin Monticello. She was a member of Oak Grove M.B. Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a brother, Andrew Griffin;a sister, Annette May; and her husband, Willie Ray Madison.

Survivors are her sons, Dewayne Eley, of Gulfport, Timothy Eley, ofDallas, Texas, Kem Eley, Kenneth Roscoe Eley, both of Monticello,Edward Eley, of Dallas, Andrew Eley, of Jackson, and Lloyd Eley, ofBrookhaven; her daughters, Rose D. Eley, of Jackson, and LaShaunEley, of Monticello; her brothers, Willie Earl Griffin, of Atlanta,Ga., John Griffin, of Calif., David Clark and R.B. Collins, both ofMonticello; a sister, Elaine Pearson, of Houston, Texas; and a hostof grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
