Kenny Ray Dalton
Services for Kenny Ray Dalton, of Bogue Chitto, are 2 p.m.Tuesday, Dec. 23, at New Zion Union M.B. Church in Bogue Chittowith burial in Bogue Chitto-Norfield Cemetery.
Visitation is Monday from 1 until 5 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.
Mr. Dalton, 54, died Dec. 20, 2008, at Southwest MississippiMedical Center in McComb. He was born in Brookhaven on May 16,1954, to Louis Dalton Jr. and Juanita “Peggy” Dalton.
He was a 1972 graduate of Bogue Chitto High School. Prior to hisillness, he was employed by Dillon Construction and SandersonFarms. He was a member of New Zion Union M.B. Church.
Preceding him in death were his father, Louis Dalton Jr.; asister, Shirley Harris; and a brother, Ricky Dalton.
Survivors are a mother, Juanita “Peggy” Dalton, of Bogue Chitto;a daughter, LaKenya Martin, of Greensboro, N.C.; his sisters, MaryEvelyn Hall and husband, Johnny, of Bogue Chitto; and SharonJackson and husband, Charlie, of Brookhaven; his brothers, LouisDalton and wife, Betty, of Savoy, Ill., Lamar Dalton, ofBrookhaven, Marvin Dalton and wife, Natalie, of Las Vegas, Nev.;Roger Dalton and wife, Kimberly, of Bogue Chitto; and onegrandchild.
James D. ‘Tolly’ Hodges
A graveside service for James D. “Tolly” Hodges, of BogueChitto, are 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, at the Stewart FamilyCemetery in Bogue Chitto.
Visitation is Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. atHarrigill Funeral Home.
Mr. Hodges, 76, died Dec. 21, 2008, at his residence. He wasborn on March 13, 1932, to Theodore Hodges and Essie Stewart.
He attended Bogue Chitto High School. Mr. Hodges was aprofessional musician throughout his lifetime.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brothers, RalphHodges and Felix Hodges.
Survivors are a brother, Jack J. Hodges, of McComb.
Carrie Lee Laird
A memorial service for Carrie Lee Laird, of Jackson, will beheld at a later date. Riles Funeral Home in Vicksburg is in chargeof arrangements.
Ms. Laird, 64, died Dec. 20, 2008, at her residence. She wasborn in Vicksburg on June 9, 1944, to Frank Herman Bliss and JuliaRussell Bliss.
She was a longtime resident of Jackson. Ms. Laird was a graduateof Jett High School and attended Hinds Junior College. She was aretired state field office director for Sen. Thad Cochran.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and a sister, LucyBliss Coleman.
Survivors are her sisters, Barbara Bliss Quirk, of Vicksburg,and Frances Bliss Brown, of Muscle Shoals, Ala.; her nephews,Michael Robinson, of Vicksburg, James Russell Brown, of MuscleShoals, David Cameron Brown, of Athens, Ala., and Matthew GlennColeman, of Brookhaven; and a niece, Sylvia Quirk Brown, ofVicksburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Stew PotCommunity Service, 1100 West Capitol, Jackson, Miss.
