Terah Thornhill Lewis Albritton

Services for Terah Thornhill Lewis Albritton, of Brookhaven, are2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, at Fair River Baptist Church with burialin the church cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at BrookhavenFuneral Home on Natchez Drive and Thursday from 9 a.m. until noonat the funeral home and from 1 until 2 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Albritton, 91, died Jan. 5, 2009, at Brook Manor NursingHome. She was born in Lincoln County on March 15, 1917, to JonasThornhill and Abye Boyd Thornhill.

She was a retired garment factory worker as well as a homemaker.She was a member of Fair River Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands; DolphusLewis and Thomas Woodrow Albritton; her brothers, Willie, Pink,Oscar, Claude, W.R., Ray, Luther and Emmett Thornhill; and hersisters, Estelle Wilson and Lillian Brister.

Survivors are her sons, Donald Lewis and wife, Dot, ofBrookhaven, Wesley Lewis and wife, Jeanetta, of Slidell, La., andJohn Paul Lewis and wife, Cheryl, of Deer Park, Texas; and a hostof grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren,countless friends and neighbors.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Fair RiverBaptist Church building fund or the church of your choice.

Dempsey T. Dunn Sr.

Graveside services for Dempsey T. Dunn Sr., of Carson, are 11:30a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, at VA Memorial Cemetery in Houston,Texas.

Mr. Dunn, 81, died Jan. 4, 2009, in Carson. He was born on July24, 1927, to Richard Edward Dunn and Iva Mae Smith Dunn.

He served in the U.S. Navy and U.S Air Force veteran.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, Richard A. Dunn;a brother; and a sister.

Survivors are his wife of 57 years, Leona Casteel Dunn; hissons, Dempsey Dunn Jr., David Ray Dunn, Louis Henry Dunn, BobbyMartin Dunn, Roger Brinkley Dunn and Kelly Cecil Dunn; hisdaughters, Connie Lee Reineking, Penny Sue Bass and Sharon AnnSmith; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

George William Porter

Services for George William Porter, of Bogue Chitto, are 11 a.m.Friday, Jan. 9, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery in Bogue Chitto.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Porter, 69, died Jan. 6, 2009, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter in Brookhaven. He was born on Nov. 22, 1939, to LawrencePorter and Bernice Herring Porter.

He was a retired electrician from New Orleans Public Service. Hewas a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sister, JulietteWestbrook; and his brothers, John and Ben Joe Porter.

Survivors are his wife, Doris Kern Porter; a son, George William”Bill” Porter and wife, Cheryl, of Cypress, Texas; his daughters,Glenda Van Geffen and husband, Mark, of Katy, Texas, and DeborahMatthews, of Hammond, La.; his stepsons, Ed Barrett, of JensonBeach, Fla., and David Barrett, of Carriere; a brother, DanielPorter, of Brookhaven; a sister, Rachel Etienne, of Metairie, La.;a sister-in-law, Maxine Porter; and his five grandchildren, Caseyand Cody Porter, Ryan and Kyle Van Geffen and Rebecca Barrett.

Services for Cleveland Redd Sr., of Bogue Chitto, are 11 a.m.Friday, Jan. 9, at New Zion Union M.B. Church in Bogue Chitto withburial in Bogue Chitto-Norfield Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from 1 until 7 p.m. at Williams Mortuarywith family present from 6 until 7 p.m.

Mr. Redd, 55, died Jan. 4, 2009, at his residence in BogueChitto. He was born in Bogue Chitto on Sept. 25, 1953, to EmaleRedd Sr. and Irene Rancifer Redd.

He was a graduate of Eva Harris High School. He was retired. Hewas a member of New Zion Union M.B. Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Dorothy KellyRedd; and a sister, Rebecca Hill.

Survivors are a son, Cleveland Redd Jr., of Brookhaven; adaughter, Keisha Redd, of Brookhaven; his sisters, Bessie Scott, ofHouston, Texas, and Retta Taylor, of New Orleans, La.; hisbrothers, Vincent Redd, Emale Redd Jr., Vernice Redd, LawrenceRedd, all of Brookhaven, the Rev. Mitchell Redd, of Miami, Fla.,and Norman Redd, of Houston; his five grandchildren; and his manynieces, nephews and other relatives.

William Lloyd Webster Jr.

Services for William Lloyd Webster Jr., of Jackson, are 2 p.m.Thursday, Jan. 8, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Union Church Cemetery in Union Church.

Mr. Webster, 56, died Jan. 5, 2009, at G.V. (Sonny) MontgomeryVA Medical Center in Jackson. He was born on June 11, 1952, toWilliam L. Webster Sr. and Lois Frazier Webster.

He was a tax preparer and title abstractor. He was a U.S. Armyveteran during the Vietnam era serving as a military police officerin West Point, N.Y. He was affiliated with the Church of theNazarene.

Survivors are a son, Christopher Jay Webster and wife, Christy,of Houston, Texas; a sister, Billie Joyce Thompson and husband,Leddrew Thompson Jr.; his three grandchildren, Mykala, Preston Jayand William Jay; and his nieces, Kim Brewer and JenniferCampbell.
