Services for Edward Arrington Lambright, of Brookhaven, are 2p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at New Prospect Baptist Church inBrookhaven with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at Riverwood FamilyFuneral Service and Saturday from 1:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. at thechurch.

Mr. Lambright, 93, died Jan. 6, 2009, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center in Brookhaven. He was born on June 10, 1915, toGeorge Scott Lambright and Neely Wilson Lambright.

He worked for many years as an auto parts salesman for PocheAuto Supply before becoming a partner in L&A Auto Supply. Afterretirement, he worked as a volunteer at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. He was alongtime deacon and Sunday school teacher at New Prospect. He wasalso an active member of The Gideons International for many years.Mr. Lambright was an avid vegetable gardener throughout his lifeand in his later years he enjoyed watching and feeding the birds.One joy of his life was sharing peppermint candy with the childrenof New Prospect each Sunday. His kind heart and generous spirit ledhim to share his worldly goods with many in need. He loved hisLord, his church and his Christian friends dearly and spent muchtime in prayer for his pastor, his country, his fellow churchmembers and for those in need. He will be missed by family andfriends.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife of 57 years,Helen R. Lambright; a brother, George M. Lambright; a specialsister-in-law, Eva N. Lambright; and a nephew, David S.Lambright.

Survivors are his daughters, Sybil Ann Lambright Peters andhusband, Jerry R. “Reggie” Peters, of Crowville, La., and CherryCamille Lambright Grim and husband, Michael W. Grim, of Brookhaven;a nephew, George E. Lambright; a niece, Lucy L. Shell; his fourgrandchildren, Daniel Alan Peters and wife, Kristin, of DenverCity, Texas, Edward Ashley Peters and wife, Amy, of Crowville,April Michelle Grim, of Brookhaven, and Michael Andrew Grim andwife, Holly, of Hattiesburg; and his three great-grandchildren,Madison Nicole Peters, Ethan Edward Peters and Andrew WalkerGrim.
