Services for Audrey Nell Bowman, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Saturday, Jan. 24, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in New Salem Church of Christ Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Bowman, 89, died Jan. 21, 2009, at Silver Cross Home inBrookhaven. She was born on Oct. 1, 1919, to Merrell Smith and CoraSmith.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of New Salem Church ofChrist in Brookhaven.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Earnest H.Bowman Sr.; a daughter, Patricia Sisco; her sons-in-laws, FelixSisco and Larry Butler; a sister, Bonnie May Walker; and herbrothers, Willard Smith, Willie Smith and Wesley Smith.

Survivors are her sons, Bobby Bowman and wife, Burnadette, ofWesson, Earnest Bowman and wife, Deloris, of Brookhaven, MerleBowman and wife, Becky, of Brookhaven, and Dennis “Duke” Bowman, ofBrookhaven; her daughters, Shirley Faye Brent and husband, JerryJoe Brent, of Bogue Chitto, and Becky Butler, of Brookhaven; asister-in-law, Margie Smith, of Brookhaven; her 14 grandchildren;her 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and aspecial nephew, John Ritchie.

Almon Brister

Services for Almon Brister, of Brookhaven, were 1 p.m. Thursday,Jan. 22, at Southway Baptist Church in Brookhaven with burial inMt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Bogue Chitto. BrookhavenFuneral Home on Natchez Drive was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Brister, 80, died Jan. 19, 2009, at his residence. He wasborn in Lincoln County on April 3, 1928, to George “Buddy” TillmanBrister and Fannie Bullock Brister.

He was retired from general maintenance at General Motors. Heserved in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Southway BaptistChurch.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his first wife,Norma Jean Brister.

Survivors are his wife, Hazel Meenach Brister, of Brookhaven; ason, Lyndell “Dale” Brister and wife, Karanita, of Brookhaven; hisstepsons, Jerry Keeton and Johnathan Keeton; his sisters, LydiaAllen, of Baton Rouge, La., and Arlo Miller, of Loveland, Colo.;his two grandchildren, Kayla Brister and Cody Brister; his 11stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mary Hudson McKee

Services for Mary Hudson McKee, of Wesson, were 11 a.m. Friday,Jan. 23, at Stringer Family Funeral Services Chapel in Hazlehurstwith burial in Beauregard Cemetery.

Mrs. McKee, 63, died Jan. 20, 2009, at her residence.

She was a native of Copiah County. She attended Zion HillBaptist Church.

Survivors are her husband, Carl McKee; her daughters, CherryDavis and Angela Phillips, both of Wesson; her 10 brothers andsisters; her two grandchildren; and her twogreat-grandchildren.

Justin Rashad Middlebrook

Services for Justin Rashad Middlebrook, of Monticello, are 1p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at Quinn’s Temple Church of God in Christin Monticello with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 1 until 5 p.m. at Williams Mortuarywith family present from 6 until 7 p.m. at the church inMonticello.

Mr. Middlebrook, 22, died Jan. 16, 2009, in Copiah County. Hewas born in McComb on Dec. 12, 1986, to Lee Norris Middlebrook Jr.and Detra Atterberry Middlebrook.

He was a 2005 graduate from Lawrence County High School and astudent at Copiah-Lincoln Community College. He was a member ofQuinn’s Temple Church of God in Christ.

Preceding him in death were his father; his paternalgrandparents, Lee Norris Middlebrook Sr. and CelestineMiddlebrook.

Survivors are his mother, Detra Atterberry Middlebrook, ofMonticello; his brothers, Stephen Jamar, Lee Norris III, BrandonJamal and Alan Joseph, all of Monticello; a niece, JamiyaAtterberry, of Monticello; his grandparents, J.C. Atterberry Sr.and Annie Mae Atterberry, of Monticello; and many uncles, aunts,cousins and longtime friends.

Wilma Mullins Probasco

Memorial services for Wilma Mullins Probasco, of Brookhaven, are2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with aprivate burial in Oak Grove Methodist Church Cemetery in Bude.

Mrs. Probasco, 81, died Jan. 22, 2009, at Golden LivingCenter-Brook Manor in Brookhaven. She was born on Nov. 4, 1927, toJohn W. Mullins and Carrie Godbold.

She was a machine operator in the graphic arts industry. She wasa member of Central Baptist Church, where she belonged to the LydiaGrace Sunday school class and was also a member of the Sally PryerWMU Circle.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Charles A.Probasco; her brothers, Lester G. Mullins, Wesley Mullins and JohnW. Mullins; a sister, Ida P. Mullins; and a sister-in-law, MayMullins.

Survivors are her three sisters-in-law, Peggy Hildreth, ofColumbus, Jane Mullins, of Raymond, and Elizabeth Mullins, ofBrookhaven; and several nieces and nephews.

Gena Renee Stingley

Services for Gena Renee Stingley, of Florence, are 2 p.m.Saturday, Jan. 24, at Cranfield Baptist Church in Cranfield withburial in the church cemetery. Marshall Funeral Home is in chargeof arrangements.

Visitation is Saturday from noon until 2 p.m. at the church.

Miss Stingley, 34, died Jan. 17, 2009, in Prairieville, La. Shewas born in Jackson on Oct. 17, 1974, to Wayne Stingley Sr. andElizebeth Hall Ward.

Preceding her in death were her father; her grandparents, LeslieHall and Annie Mae Hall; and an uncle, John Paul Hall Sr.

Survivors are her mother; a daughter, Regina Ward; a son, AustinStingley; a stepfather, Allen Ward; her sisters, Beth Edmond andOlie Stingley; her brothers, Kyle Edmond, Leslie Edmond, JamieStingley and Wayne Stingley Jr.; a stepsister, Theresa Wilson; herstepbrothers, Shelby Ward and John Ward; and a host of aunts,uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
