Graveside services for Lonnie Marshall Tisdale, of Brookhaven,were 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 2, at Damascus Baptist Church. RiverwoodFamily Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Tisdale, 89, died Jan. 31, 2009, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born on March 13, 1919, to Willie Alexandria Tisdaleand Winnie Sledge Tisdale.

He was a retired self-employed petroleum engineer and a memberof the American Petroleum Institute. He was a member of BolinStreet United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy duringWorld War II.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, Curtisand Noel Tisdale; and his sisters, Vera Holcomb and PearlCampbell.

Survivors are his wife, Doris Crane Tisdale; his son, DwainTisdale, of Odessa, Texas; his daughter, Sharon Tisdale Abrams, ofHouston, Texas; his four grandchildren, Bill Tisdale, Cori Thane,Candace Hinderer and Misti Gil; his eight great-grandchildren; hisfive great-great-grandchildren; his nieces, Beverly Pickering,Linda Gatlin and Sammye Bailey; his sisters-in-law, ElizabethPickering and Margaret Crane and husband, Jerry; and hisgreat-nephews, Trey and Taylor Bailey.
