Martha Victoria B. Ritchie, 90, of Summit, passed away Feb. 2,2009, at the McComb Extended Care in McComb.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at WoodlawnCemetery in Summit. Dr. David Millican will officiate.

Mrs. Ritchie was born Jan. 2, 1919, in Lincoln County. She wasthe daughter of the late Howard and Ida Roberts Bowman.

Victoria was a member of the Johnston Station Baptist Church.She was a homemaker and loved to cook, sew, garden and take care ofher animals. She will be sadly missed by those that knew her.

Mrs. Ritchie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband,Roy W. Ritchie; and son-in-law, Bobby Canton.

Survivors include her son, Roy W. “Buddy” Ritchie Jr. and wife,Linda, of Hammond, La.; his two daughters, Alice Faye R. Canton, ofSummit, and Helon Joy R. Moak, of McComb; a brother, Martin EdwardBowman, of Summit; her five grandchildren, Robbie Canton, JeffCanton, Mike Moak, Tammy Moak Fowler and husband, Toney, andSuzonne Ritchie; and her 14 great-grandchildren; and her fourgreat-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
