Services for Aileen Brumfield, a lifelong resident of BogueChitto, are 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, at Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Homewith burial in Montgomery Cemetery. The Revs. Mike McKee and JohnThomas will officiate.

Visitation is Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of the serviceat the funeral home.

Mrs. Brumfield, 85, died Feb. 5, 2009, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb after a sudden illness culminatedin heart failure. She was born in Lincoln County on Aug. 8, 1923,to Harvey Posey and Lemmie Watts Posey.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Montgomery BaptistChurch and a former associate of Town and Country Shop in Summit.She was a lady that loved visitors and loved her yard flowers. Shewas a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed following herchildren and grandchildren’s activities.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her daughter, VickieJoy Brumfield; her sister, Ruby Posey Moak; her brothers, WalterDay Posey and Paul Harvey Posey; and her sister-in-law, Helen B.Hartfield.

Survivors are her husband of 66 years, Clifton Gordan Brumfield,of Bogue Chitto; her daughters, Gail Lynn Brumfield, of McComb, andBonnie Ruth Cook and husband, Albert Ross Cook, of Bogue Chitto;her granddaughters, Lemmie Ruth Johnston Anderson and husband,Jason, of San Diego, Calif., and Katelyn Nicole Johnston, of BogueChitto; a grandson, Ernest Clifton Johnston, of Bogue Chitto; hersister, Ruth Posey Keen, of McComb; her brother-in-law, HylandBrumfield, of Bogue Chitto; one nephew; eight nieces; numerousgreat-nieces and great-nephews; and other friends andrelatives.

Pallbearers will be Richard Moak, Charles Fortenberry, GregHoggatt, Steven Moak, Keith Johnston and Craig Fortenberry.
