Services for Alene Smith Case Williams, formerly ofMurfreesboro, Tenn., are 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, at WoodfinMemorial Chapel in Tennesse. The Rev. Dr. Michael Smith willofficiate. Graveside services are 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12 atPleasant Grove Cemetery in Brookhaven. The Rev. Kent Cochran willofficiate. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of localarrangements.
Visitation will begin Wednesday at noon at Woodfin MemorialChapel.
Mrs. Williams, 92, died Feb. 7, 2009, in Port St. Lucie, Fla.She was born in Lincoln County to Lawrence E. and Dora ByrdSmith.
She was a former medical secretary at the University ofMississippi Medical Center and also for other doctors in Jackson.She was a member of First Baptist Church in Murfreesboro.
Preceding her in death were her first husband, Tallmadge Case,and her second husband, James H. Williams.
Survivors are her son, Raymond T. Case, of Port St. Lucie, Fla.;a brother, Jesse Smith, of Murfreesboro; a stepson, Don Williams,of Cummings, Ga.; a stepdaughter, Janis Strawn, of Murfreesboro;her eight grandchildren; and her five great-grandchildren.
