Bogue Chitto pitcher Toy Smith hurled a no-hitter Thursday nightin leading the Bogue Chitto Bobcats to a 3-2 fastpitch softball winover the host Enterprise Yellow Jackets. The ‘Cats are 1-1 on theseason.

Smith (1-0) fanned 4 batters and walked 3 for the win. ChynnaCoughlan struck out 8 and walked 6.

“Toy pitched well tonight,” said Bogue Chitto girls head coachScott Leggett. “Our defense played well behind her. They helpedkeep the no hitter in tact. We put the ball in pay but we hadopportunities to score more runs.”

The ‘Cats finished with 9 hits and made 3 errors. The Jacketscommitted 1 error.

Bogue Chitto entertains Franklin County today beginning at 5p.m. with the junior varsity followed by the varsity at 6.
