Ruby W. Prather

Services for Ruby W. Prather, of Fayette, were 11 a.m.Wednesday, March 11, at Elmo Baptist Church in Jefferson Countywith burial in the church cemetery. Franklin Funeral Home inMeadville was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Prather, 72, died March 9, 2009, at Franklin CountyMemorial Hospital in Meadville. She was born in Franklin County onJan. 23, 1937, to Charlie C. Bowman and Ollie Wilson Bowman.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Trace Ridge BaptistChurch in Ridgeland.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and a brother.

Survivors are her husband, Bobby J. Prather, of Fayette; herdaughters, Janet Jackson, of Fayette, and Kathy Hammack, of Flora;her brothers, Lonzo Bowman, of Washington, Charles Edward Bowman,of Vidalia, La., Cleon Bowman, of Meadville, Conley Bowman, ofMagee, and Kenneth Bowman, of Pearl; her sisters, Aleen Goldman, ofHouston, Texas, Nell Martin, of Florence, and Mildred Lee, ofJackson.
