Services for Mildred Lee Stephens McCurley, of Hazlehurst, are10 a.m. Saturday, March 21, at Stringer Family Funeral ServicesChapel in Hazlehurst with burial in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. McCurley, 80, died March 19, 2009, at Pine Crest Guest Homein Hazlehurst.

She was native of Jefferson County living there until 1960 whenshe moved to Copiah County. Mrs. McCurley was a nurse’s aide and award clerk at Hardy Wilson Hospital for more than 35 years. She wasa member of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church. She was lovedby her family and everyone who knew her.

Preceding her in death were a son, John Riley McCurley III; anda sister, Lucy May Stephens.

Survivors are her husband, John Riley McCurley Jr.; her sons,Robert Lynn McCurley and Delton Wayne McCurley, both of Hazlehurst;her daughters, Billie Sue Mayes, of Walker, La., and Barbara AnnMiller, of Soso; her brothers, Roy Sherwin Stephens, of Lorman, andJohn Garrett Stephens, of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; her sisters, JeanBrown, of Natchez, Elaine Rutland, of Brookhaven, and Jessie Locke,of Dothan, Ala., her 10 grandchildren; and her 24great-grandchildren.
