Rebecca ‘Becki’ Lee Darland

Services for Rebecca “Becki” Lee Darland, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa,were held Wednesday, Feb. 11, at Oakland Church of the Nazarene inCedar Rapids with burial in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. CedarMemorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Darland, 49, died Feb. 8, 2009, at St. Luke’s Hospital inCedar Rapids. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on Dec. 24, 1959, toDr. Jack H. Lee and Ouida Waldrop Lee.

She was a graduate of Southwest DeKalb High School in Decatur,Ga. and Georgia State University. She was a member of OaklandChurch of the Nazarene and a community volunteer for school andcivic organizations in Cedar Rapids.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her grandparents, Garyand Willie Russell Waldrop and Mack and Elsie Thames Lee, who wereall of Brookhaven; and her sister, Jacquelyn Beth Lee.

Survivors are her husband, Timmy Eugene Darland, of CedarRapids; her daughter, Jessica Lee Darland, of Cedar Rapids; hersisters, Dinah Lee Huff, of Tijeras, N.M., and Jenni Lee Knippers,of Bethany, Okla.; several nieces, nephews, other relatives andfriends.

Sue Errington

Services for Sue Errington, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. Tuesday,March 24, at Heucks Retreat Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Services is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Monday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Errington, 53, died March 21, 2009, at SouthwestMississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb.

Beulah D. Neal

Services for Beulah D. Neal, of Monticello, were 2 p.m.Saturday, March 21, at Monticello Methodist Protestant Church withburial in Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home wasin charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Neal, 102, died March 19, 2009, at Lawrence County NursingCenter. She was born in Lawrence County on Aug. 9, 1906, to JasperPreston Davis and Fannie Ballard.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Monticello MethodistProtestant Church.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Wilmer “Tad” Neal; herson, Davis Neal; her daughters, Eula N. Mahaffey and Fay Neal; fourbrothers; three sisters; her grandsons, Craig Ballard and John T.Neal II; and her great-grandson, Neal Ballard.

Survivors are her son, John T. Neal, of Monticello; herdaughters, Junene N. Conn, of Ruth, and Lynn Lofton, of Gulfport;12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and sevengreat-great-grandchildren.

Ruby Lee White

Services for Ruby Lee White, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. Monday,March 23, at Stringer Family Funeral Services Chapel in Hazlehurstwith graveside services following at 2 p.m. at Fellowship Cemeteryin Taylorsville.

Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. White, 77, died March 19, 2009, at Countrybrook LivingCenter. A native of Taylorsville, she lived in Hazlehurst for over30 years before moving to Lincoln County six years ago.

She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and, in recentyears, was also a member of Westside Baptist Church in Hazlehurst.She loved vegetable gardening.

Preceding her in death were her husband, James (Jim) White; herparents, Herman and Velma Waters; and her granddaughter, BrittanyWhite.

Survivors are her sons, Rudolph White and Wayne White, both ofBrookhaven, and Mike White, of Wesson; her daughter, Barbara Bynum,of Star; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and severalnieces and nephews.
