Mr. Owen, 62, died March 20, 2009, in Jackson. He was born inHolly Springs on March 30, 1946, to Paul Owen and Velma TuckerOwen.

He retired from the U.S. Navy.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Owen, of Brookhaven; a son, KennethOwen, of Tenn., and Paul Owen Jr., of Mississippi; and his threegrandchildren.
