There will be a private service for the family of ElizabethHuey, of Monticello. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in chargeof arrangements.

Mrs. Huey, 84, died April 7, 2009, at New Dawn Retirement Centerin Ruth. She was born on Dec. 26, 1924, to Cleve Pounders andJessie Belle Foster Pounders.

She was a retired teacher serving 35 years in the Monticelloschools. She was a member of Monticello Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her father, Cleve Pounders; hermother, Jessie Belle Foster Pounders; and her two brothers, ClevePounders Jr. and Alfred F. Pounders.

Survivors are a son, Steve Huey and wife, Terri, of Brookhaven;her two grandchildren, Emily Phillips and husband, Jeff, and BenHuey and wife, Alyson; and a great-grandchild, David Phillips.

Memorials may be made to Monticello Baptist Church.
