A private memorial service for Walter Carl “Junior” Nulisch Jr.,of Monticello, will be held at a later date. Wilson Funeral Home isin charge of arrangements.

Mr. Nulisch, 72, died April 16, 2009, at G.V. (Sonny) MontgomeryVA Medical Center in Jackson. He was born in Dallas, Texas, on Oct.1, 1936, to Walter Carl Nulisch and Gussie Ellington Nulisch.

He was a retired brick contractor. He served in the U.S. AirForce during the Cold War. He was a member of Calvary BaptistChurch in Silver Creek. He was also a member of Lawrence CountyMasonic Lodge, Shriners and the Exchange Club. He was also a memberof Silver Creek Domino Club.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his two brothers, and asister.

Survivors are his wife, Peggy Davis Nulisch; a son, ButchNulisch, of Monticello; his daughters, Christina Sanders, ofMonticello, and Carla Myers, of Oak Grove; his sisters, MarthaSmith, of Chandler, Texas, and Betty Jane Little, of Fort Worth,Texas; his eight grandchildren; and his fivegreat-grandchildren.
