Services for Lillie B. Kline, of Bogue Chitto, are 1 p.m.Thursday, May 14, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Bogue Chitto withburial in the church cemetery. R.E. Tyler Funeral Home is in chargeof arrangements.
Visitation is Thursday from noon until 1 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Kline, 85, died May 8, 2009, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. She was born in Bogue Chitto onApril 22, 1924, to Kemp Braxton and Maggie Coleman Braxton.
She was a graduate of Jackson State College in Jackson. Mrs.Kline was also a counselor at Jackson State College and anelementary school teacher in Las Vegas, Nev. She retired as aneducator. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in BogueChitto.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, EarlE. Kline.
Survivors are her stepdaughters, Ruth Kline, of Chicago, Ill.,and Patricia Kline, of Washington, D.C.; her brothers, Hue EarlBraxton and Charlie Braxton, both of Bogue Chitto; her sisters,Wessie Putman, of Gulfport, Versana Harris, Eva Nell Jones, both ofChicago, Vernell Reed, of St. Louis, Mo., and Yvonne Sharpe, ofChicago; and two stepgrandchildren.
