Services for Philip L. May, of Silver Creek, are 2 p.m. Sunday,May 24, at Calvary Baptist Church with burial in the churchcemetery. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of the serviceat the church.

Mr. May, 88, died May 21, 2009, at his residence. He was born inSilver Creek on Feb. 15, 1921, to Lee George May and Nannie AllenMay.

He was a retired postmaster for Silver Creek. He was a member ofCalvary Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was an Armyveteran of World War II.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother; and twosisters.

Survivors are his wife, Agnes Harvey May; his son, Philip DaleMay, of Silver Creek; his daughters, Twyla M. Thrash, ofHendersonville, N.C., and Tammy May, of Cypress, Texas; and onegrandchild.
