Services for Gerry Lewis Mosley, of Wesson, were 10 a.m. Friday,June 5, at Zion Hill Baptist Church with burial with militaryhonors in the church cemetery.
Mr. Mosley, 54, died June 2, 2009, in Gallman. He was born inJackson to George H. Mosley Sr. and Maudie E. Mosley.
He was a resident of Copiah County for 35 years. He retired fromthe State of Mississippi and the Armed Forces of the United States.At the time of his death, he was practicing as a certified flightinstructor and aviation mechanic. He attended Zion Hill BaptistChurch. Besides being a loving and caring son, husband, father,grandfather and friend to many, Mr. Mosley had a passion forflying. He was highly regarded by those within the aviation circle.Mr. Mosley was a staunch advocate for injured soldiers of the IraqWar, to the extent of delivering testimony before the U.S. House ofRepresentatives.
Preceding him in death were his father, George H. Mosley Sr.;and his brothers, George H. Mosley Jr. and Jerry Carl Mosley.
Survivors are his mother, Maudie E. Mosley, of Clinton; his wifeof 20 years, Lisa Woods Mosley, of Wesson; his children, BuddyMosley and wife, Megann, of Learned, Darrell Mosley and wife, Lori,of Brandon, Marty Mosley, of Jackson, and Gabe Mosley and MadisonMosley, of Wesson; his brothers, John E. Mosley and wife, Carolyn,Terrell Mosley and Steve Mosley, all of Clinton; a sister, SherrellLoggans, of Clinton; and his three grandchildren, Molly and JennaMosley, of Learned, and Ben Mosley, of Brandon.
