Services for Stephen Jarrod Davis, of Brookhaven, are 2:30 p.m.Saturday, June 6, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Davis, 34, died June 2, 2009, in Copiah County. He was bornon Feb. 14, 1975.

He was a fireman with Brookhaven Fire Department, a reservedeputy for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department, an aircrafttechnician and a pilot. Mr. Davis was also a Level 1 and Level 2firefighter, Smoke Diver and fire service instructor. He wascertified as a fire apparatus driver/operator, to run the NationalIncident Management System for the fire service, in National FireProtection Association hazardous materials, in rope rescue I and inconfined space rescue. Mr. Davis was a Hazardous MaterialsTechnician I and II, a certified advanced rescue technician, infirst responder medical training, an emergency medical technician,an open water diver and in Hale Fire pump rebuilding. Mr. Davis wasalso a Federal Aviation Administration licensed pilot, carried an A& P license and was a certified part-time sheriff’s deputy withLincoln County Law Enforcement. He also served with the Loyd StarVolunteer Fire Department, was a member of the Aircraft Owners andPilots Association and was awarded Top Cop 2008 for Lincoln CountySheriff’s Department. He attended Faith Presbyterian Church.

Preceding him in death were his grandfathers, Iddo L. Davis Sr.,Robert Lester Van Norman, Ralph L. Blades; and his niece, BlairElizabeth Ezell.

Survivors are his parents, Iddo L. Davis Jr. and Lynn V. Davis,of Brookhaven; a daughter, Harlee Jadyn Davis, of Brookhaven; hissisters, Stasha Davis Ezell and husband, Matthew, of Brookhaven,and Leslee Davis Smith and husband, Chad, of Hattiesburg; hisgrandmothers, Erma Blades, of Brookhaven, and Gwen Davis, ofBrookhaven; his girlfriend, Erin Laird; three nieces; and twonephews.

Memorials may be made to Trustmark National Bank in memory ofSteve Davis.
