Services for E. Mavis Albritton Travis, of Conroe, Texas andformerly of McComb, were 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 13, at CatchingsFuneral Home with burial in Pine Grove Pentecostal Cemetery. PastorHarry Johnson and the Rev. Curtis Bass officiated.
Mrs. Travis, 82, died June 11, 2009, at Hearthstone AssistanceLiving Center in Conroe. She was born in Pike County on Sept. 3,1926, to John Albritton and Katie Lee Brown Albritton.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Pine Grove PentecostalChurch in Summit.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her stepfather,Lawrence A. Freeman; her husband, Ed Harvie Travis; her daughter,Gail Sundberg; her brother, Donald Eugene Albritton; and hersister, Kathleen Albritton.
Survivors are her son, Mark Travis, of Shelbyville, Ind.; herdaughters and their husbands, Karen and James R. McDonald Jr., ofthe Bahamas, and Marcia and David Lantrip, of Montgomery, Texas;her brothers and their wives, Thomas R. and Valerie Freeman andLamar and Pat Freeman, all of Denham Springs, La., and LarryFreeman, of Walker, La.; her son-in-law, Stan Sundberg, of Houston,Texas; her sisters, Lois Hart, of Brookhaven, and Carolyn Blalockand husband, C.E. “Sonny,” of Centreville; her grandchildren, ToddHebert, Shawn Fuller, Jeremy Lantrip and Mark E. Travis; hergreat-grandchildren, Alexx Hebert, Amber Hebert, Kyla Fuller andTory Fuller; her step-grandchildren, Shana Wells, Dayna Wynne,Stephen McDonald and Stephanie Pumphrey; herstep-great-grandchildren, Spencer Eskridge, Cheyenne Fauss, BrendanPumphrey and Austin Pumphrey; and numerous nieces, nephews, otherrelatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Todd Hebert, Noel Travis, Shawn Fuller,Jeremy Lantrip, Thomas Wells and Alexx Hebert.
Honorary pallbearer will be Troy Travis.
