“He made every effort to use the talents, abilities and thegifts God bestowed upon him to the benefit of his fellow man,” saidMassengill.

Earlier Tuesday, a preliminary NTSB report found the plane crashthat killed the two men was likely caused by a loss of engine powerduring the plane’s final approach to the airport.

Davis and Mosely were licensed pilots and airplane mechanics, and had been working on the plane earlier that day. Airportemployees said they had taken the plane up to give it a test runwhen the engine failed, causing the crash.

The report also indicated the aircraft had undergone maintenancein April to fix the right wing, which was positioned lower than theleft. The NTSB said a final cause report likely will not releasedto the public for another nine to 12 months.
