Hoping to continue their winning streak, the Lincoln CountyAmerican League All-Stars host Walthall County tonight for Game Oneof a best-of-three series to determine the Dixie Youth Baseball AAA9s District Six champion. Action begins at 8 p.m., on Bank ofFranklin Field at Keystone Park.

The Americans went unbeaten in the North Subdistrict SixTournament at Gallman and beat Copiah County 8-4 Saturday night,going unbeaten in the subdistrict.

Game Two of the best-of-three district series will be heldWednesday night at Tylertown, starting at 7. If necessary, a cointoss will determine the location of the third game.

The Americans and Walthall both have qualified for the DixieYouth 9s State Tournament that will be held at the new complex inHattiesburg, starting July 17. The district series will determineNo. 1 and No. 2 seeding for the state tourney.
